OFFICE OF ENGINEERING, ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGY, GEOTECHNICAL DESIGN & SERVICES
The soil and rock mechanics tests, which we can perform in our cooperating laboratory accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System S.A. and the Central Laboratory of Public Works, are:
- Determination of density of cohesive soils
- Determination of specific gravity of soils
- Determination of liquid limit, plastic limit and plasticity index of soils
- Standard method of sieve analysis of soils
- Particle size analysis of soils by hydrometer
- Test for moisture - density relations of soils (PROCTOR standard and modified method)
- Test for bearing ratio of laboratory - compacted soils (CBR)
- Direct shear soil test
- Triaxial compressive strength test on cohesive soils
- Spiting tensile strength of intact rock core specimens
- One dimensional consolidation test
- Unconfined compressive test
- Permeability of granular and fine grain soils (Constant and Falling head)
- Determination of water content (moisture) of soils
- Direct shear strength of rock specimens
- Determination of the strength by point load
- Determination of absorption and bulk specific gravity of rock
- Determination of the strength by unconfined compression
- Splitting tensile strength of intact rock core specimens (Brazilian test)
- Unconfined compressive strength of rock core specimens with measurement of E, v
